Women in the Workplace and New Legislation Seminar on March 1st.

CBA is hosting it's first Benefit Breakfast Series Seminar of 2018 on Thursday, March 1st.

This presentation will cover the following:

  • The Massachusetts Pregnant Worker's Fairness Act
    • This legislation will prohibit workplace and hiring discrimination related to pregnancy and nursing, and require employers to provide reasonable accommodations for expectant and new mothers in the workplace.  This goes into effect on April 1, 2018.
  • The Massachusetts Pay Equity Law
    • The Federal Equal Pay Act requires employers to pay men and women equally if they perform substantially equal work within the same establishment.  This goes into effect on July 1, 2018.
  • Sexual Assault and Harassment
    • A review of the #MeToo Movement and  its effect in the Workplace.
